THE WEATHER has been beautiful, so on both Friday and Saturday, we took our new folding bicycles out for very long countryside rides through hilly landscapes filled with roaming sheep and giant bales of hay framed by rambling stone walls covered in moss that have been there for hundreds of years. There were castles and viaducts and cosy country pubs along the way where we would stop for a drink and mingle with the locals ...
A CLOSE FRIEND recently remarked that she was low on energy, inspiration, everything. I brought it up to P who wondered, Do you think that maybe it's late-stage pandemic? From time to time, I enjoy a wander in a neighborhood far from my own. On a recent winter morning I visited Brooklyn Heights, a charming corner in Brooklyn known for its beautiful architecture and serene charm. This neighborhood isn’t a shopping or dining destination, but it is a feast for the eyes and a place where you can leave with an appreciation of the city.
