Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 19.07.21

THE WEATHER has been beautiful, so on both Friday and Saturday, we took our new folding bicycles out for very long countryside rides through hilly landscapes filled with roaming sheep and giant bales of hay framed by rambling stone walls covered in moss that have been there for hundreds of years. There were castles and viaducts and cosy country pubs along the way where we would stop for a drink and mingle with the locals. It was exactly how I’d always imagined English countryside life to be when we first moved out of the city. We have more trips planned for this week as well (one of them to the coast) before the rain is supposed to set in at the end of the week. We also bought a fancy new coffee maker on Friday and have been practising making espressos and frothy oat milk lattes in the mornings.

This week’s links include a villa on Corfu and frilled puff sleeve blouses for summer days; a recipe for Coffee Cardamom Crème Brûlée, and much, much more.
