Notes from the Weekend

JUST FOUND OUT about Joanna Goddard (A Cup of Jo)‘s divorce today and was completely shocked. She has been running her site for nearly as long as TIG and Alex has been a part of the narrative for as long as can remember. Thirteen and a half years and two children later, and it’s all over. Began making a tally of all the bloggers I knew of who were now divorced and it’s a lot. Occupational hazard? Perhaps. Or maybe it’s purely coincidental and in keeping with divorce rates? I don’t know. But I do know that it took a moment for the news to settle in, as I was honestly very shocked. They actually seemed to have a really good relationship. She linked to a poem about endings I think, about sea light and love fading. Once on one of our earliest posts, she had left a comment saying how much she liked the way I was so sweet about P. It was nice. Seems like a lifetime ago now.
