READ IN BRITISH Vogue yesterday that Londoners are all in their autumn uniforms already⏤wooly jumpers and jackets and I can confirm that we are. That's because it's been raining for weeks on end and has been unseasonably chilly.
The brain-powered individual, which is variously called the self, the ego, the mind, or “me,” lies at the center of Western thought. In the worldview of the West, we herald the greatest thinkers as world-changers. There is no more concise example of this than philosopher René Descartes’ famous statement, “Cogito, ergo sum,” or, “I think, therefore I am.” But who is this? Let’s take a closer look at the thinker, or the “me,” we all take for granted.
A touchscreen hanging in the middle of the exhibition highlighted all the questions for everyone to see. Would you have a chip implanted in your brain to make you smarter? Would you leave your elderly mother or baby in a robot’s care? Should that robot have rights? Would you allow supposedly impartial artificial intelligence (AI) software to judge your legal case? Would you transfer your consciousness to the cloud in order to live forever?
I HAD THIS recipe for Vegan Gluten-Free Butterfingers saved on Instagram for a while now, waiting for the chance to pick up all the ingredients and the time to make them. Today, everything fell into place and I decided to make them this afternoon and it was one of the easiest recipes I've ever made. They turned out perfectly and were completely delicious! There are only five ingredients, so if you're not the best in the kitchen (like me), you'll still be able to make them without any issues.

IT HAS BECOME one of these typical British summers, with the weather suddenly turning chilly and rainy and even blustery and stormy at times. We had about three glorious days of summertime last week and made the most of it by spending as much time outside as possible, knowing that it couldn't last.
Nourishment can be as simple as an orange in the morning, or a hearty salad topped with hummus for lunch. It can be a Sunday brunch and yes, a fabulous desert. To this day, one of the best pieces of advice I have received was to always have a chocolate bar in the pantry.
