PARIS - You may not know David Jimenez, but it's certain you'll know his work, for he has played a major part in developing the very specific aesthetics of Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Williams Sonoma.
At the time of writing, the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris is on fire, its iconic spire, made of wood and lead and built during a restoration in the mid-19th century, confirmed collapsed. The 850-year-old medieval Catholic cathedral on the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris...
The Most famous département stores in Paris are a stopping point on all touristic itineraries. Aristide Boucicaut is one of the pioneers of creating the département store, opening “Au Bon Marché” in 1852. Since then the phenomenon of this style of shopping has become an integral part of life in France.

The historic luxury hotel, located at the foot of the Champs-Élysées, opened in 1909 in a building that dates back to 1758. The Crillon is one of two identical stone palaces on the Place de la Concorde and has been listed since 1900 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. Today it is a grand space with 78 guest rooms and 46 suites, along with three restaurants, a bar, outdoor terrace, gym and health club.
German style blogger Livia Auder's casual cool style caught our eye on Instagram (@livia_auer). The endless sunny days, however, will always be our first love and now that February is already nearly half over, it will be springtime before we know it…
Despite being a new beginning of the year, filled with so much hope and so many new ideas, rarely does the month of January bring only joy. January—it’s the month of sales, people are tired of shopping and of queues, of agglomeration, of the grey days. Keeping a good mood may be a challenge.
The Afrobeat-infused disco project Ibibio Sound Machine, based in London and fronted by Nigerian native Eno Williams, impressed us with last year’s Eiyo EP and the single “Basquiat.”
So his debut, X100PRE, at first seems like an odd concession to the old-school from an artist who made old-school look thoroughly obsolete — if singles are enough to get you into the studio with Drake, why bother with a full-length?
Maybe this year there were more lows than highs, or maybe all of your resolutions weren’t accomplished, maybe some projects haven’t seen the light of day, or perhaps everything was just perfect. The most important thing is that we are all trying and that we are not giving up.
