Despite being a new beginning of the year, filled with so much hope and so many new ideas, rarely does the month of January bring only joy. January—it’s the month of sales, people are tired of shopping and of queues, of agglomeration, of the grey days. Keeping a good mood may be a challenge.

In my personal quest to being more positive and present and more sociable outside of Social Media, I’ve been trying to see more friends after the work days. And as such, I am always looking for new places, but always end up choosing the cafés, brasseries, or restaurants where I know there is a nice atmosphere and cosy interior. Here are two of my favourite places in Paris to go after work with friends.

Mini Palais

Within the Grand Palais there is a magical space with beautiful decor, along with a 3200 square-foot terrace lined with palm trees overlooking the Petit Palais, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in Paris.

The menu is delightful and service is remarkable.

Restaurant du Musée d'Orsay

Having a tea meeting in the magnificent decor of chandeliers, painted ceilings and gilded mirrors is such a beautiful experience that I highly recommend it to everyone looking for unique places.
