ON FRIDAY afternoon, met with Anna, my new hairstylist (no, Eugen did not work out) for a maintenance cut to trim away all the dry and split ends (winter) and add some shape and layers back in. On Saturday we ate cake and drank wine and on Sunday afternoon, we stopped for some oysters and a glass of English sparkling (yes, it’s a thing and it was crisp and actually delicious) at the Borough Market after dodging the foodies and crowds of tourists, some in explicably long queues while others roamed around trying to figuring out what to eat. The place, after all, has been a food hub for a 1000 years—since 1756. We still had dinner reservations a 19-minute train ride away, in a neighbourhood we’d never been to before (London is sprawling) at a place we’d never eaten at before. There were things to celebrate! Big, wonderful things. Drinks followed at a rather rowdy The Ned in Bank, where it’s always happy hour and the service is faultless. It’s been an eventful few days filled with good food, a few drinks, much to be thankful for, and a lot of love.

This week’s links include an Ibizan finca, and the 49 Best Hotels in Paris; jerseys and blue jeans for February days, the truth about cats, and much, much more.
