@josefinehj

EARLY SUNDAY morning, we quietly lost an hour to British Summer Time. We would not know about it until much later in the day, when we suddenly remembered about the clocks changing, and it all made sense why we felt so tired. Last Friday we drove up to Scotland, armed with a Victoria Sponge cake to celebrate a 95th birthday. The drive was sunny and scenic and as always, we had a lot to talk about. We stopped by the new café in the market square for two flat whites (mine, oat; his, regular) before setting off. I’d also packed a bag filled with snacks in the back seat⏤apple slices neatly tucked into a reusable plastic container, rice crackers and crisps and a giant bar of our favourite chocolate. These past days and weeks have been making me feel wistful. Perhaps it’s the ending of one season into the next, or perhaps the ending of a phase of something. I’ve never been one for sunsets and endings. But in a way, endings create new beginnings.

This week’s links include the 25 most beautiful places in Europe and oversized blazers for late-March days; a recipe for Asparagus and Brie Puff Pastry with Thyme Honey, and much, much more.
