I first introduced Private Choice in October of last year (you can read more about it here). I recently attended the 6th edition of the event, where Nadia Candet had once again asserted her curatorial taste on the Haussmannien apartment where the event is held with a selection of contemporary artists and designers, a wide variety of artwork, furniture and design objects that come together as a unified whole. This year’s theme is highlighting the Current Trends. The great mise en scene is not only an exhibition event but also a private sale event.

Also called l’hôtel des voyageurs, l’InterContinental Paris le Grand was originally built for the Exposition Universelle of 1867. The building has long welcomed intellectuals and travelers from around the world, which famously include Victor Hugo, Emile Zola and Oscar Wilde.

Back when I was home in Brasov, December used to always be magical: long walks in the freezing snowy white forest, skating with friends and weekends at the cabin. I miss quite a bit, that Christmasy-Winter feeling.
This year, the streets around Paris have been getting festive since mid-November and I was pretty excited about it, but unfortunately Paris's famous Marché de Noël it won't be held this year.
