HAVE BEEN SEARCHING for a skinny jeans (or denim in general) alternative for some time now, and just like that, a new spring trend has arrived just time.

The first day of spring has only just passed and already we're dreaming of lusty summer days. Days filled with fluttery little white guipure lace dresses and wicker; peachy luminizer and coconut highlighter, bronzy skin against crashing waves and falling rays of golden sun...
The Most famous département stores in Paris are a stopping point on all touristic itineraries. Aristide Boucicaut is one of the pioneers of creating the département store, opening “Au Bon Marché” in 1852. Since then the phenomenon of this style of shopping has become an integral part of life in France.
This is a time of fashion houses reissuing their iconic pieces, and with Fendi's reissuing of its Baguette on the SS19 runways and Karl Lagerfeld's recent passing away, the Italian fashion house is very much on everyone's minds. The late designer did, after all, work for the brand for 54 years. So for this edition of Style Inspiration, we'll look at the many iterations of Fendi's iconic FℲ branded pieces, from mock turtlenecks and knits to capes, tights, and trenches, and of course, the Baguette.
As you know, at The Shop, we have vastly expanded the range of items available to include a rather exquisite selection of jewellery. And so, to highlight all the new and talented designers we carry, we're bringing you this series to showcase the talented créateurs we're currently working with. This week, we're featuring the unique and inventive fine jewellery of Hi June Parker.
VALENCIA - Nearly mid-March and there are already pink blossoms on the trees and days of endless sunshine. The park along the old river bed is filled with picnickers and afternoon loungers, and here, we're excited for new spring things, including chic wicker bags and glamorous dangling baroque pearl earrings; flowery perfumes and tortoiseshell sunglasses, lip balms and luxurious hand lotions and more...
We may know little about Karl Lagerfeld’s successor, but Virginie Viard definitely knows everything about Chanel and its values. The new creative director hates being in the spotlight she used to say, but she will be for a while now since her new role marks the first time a female designer is taking the helm of the brand since Gabrielle Chanel herself.
In this age of noise, newness, visual information overload; in the ever-evolving fashion platform where you have access to everything I still find it absolutely amazing the fact that style is still stronger than just fashion in this world full of influencers, bloggers and instagrammers.
PARIS - Karl Lagerfeld passed away on the morning of Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was 85. The extraordinary life of the designer, photographer and creative director is widely known. Here are a few highlights in this compilation of photos, moments, and quotations in memoriam of the late great design icon.
German style blogger Livia Auder's casual cool style caught our eye on Instagram (@livia_auer). There are camel coats, and leather and lace, plaids and animal prints and many hats (not an easy look to pull off). But most of all, the perfect recipe for looking chic in winter weather and pretty lacy tops and little white dresses to bring you back to spring again...
New York Fashion Week came and went with little fanfare. This time around, there seemed to be a lack of enthusiasm for the affair.
Vanessa Friedman, the Fashion Director and Chief Fashion Critic for The New York Times expressed a similar sentiment in the article, “Marc Jacobs and the Ghosts of Fashion Past and Future.”
The article suggests a somber tone during fashion week. Friedman points out that it seemed to suffer from an identity crisis partially as a result from the loss of influence that New York designers once had over the fashion world.
Hard to keep up with everything new in the beauty and fashion domaine. While Prêt-à-Porter Fashion Week is ongoing in the Capitals of Fashion, in the beauty world there are a few things that are not only popular but they’re really worth trying. Here are a few of my favourites.
EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, there is a mini trend that comes along that is just too pretty to pass up, and the rhinestone/crystal belt with blue jeans is one of them. We had begun seeing these lovely embellished belts on Instagram, and then in shop window here in the city and fell in love with this simple and easy way to dress up an everyday look. Scroll through for some style inspiration and to shop...
A beautiful snowfall was supposed to descend upon New York this weekend. I dreamed of walking through Central Park with my camera and a hot cocoa. Instead, we have freezing rain. It was the perfect weekend to stay in, read a good book and search for fashion inspiration.
May this year be a softer journey. May we survive through art, friends and all the beautiful things around us. I hope to take more care of myself this year, to have more healthy habits, to take care of my skin, to sleep the necessary hours, to take care of my thoughts and my feelings.
