Notes from the Weekend & this Week’s Links 06.05.24

THIS WEEKEND was the May Bank Holiday, yet, today, we’ve chosen to forgo the leisurely pace and return to our usual routine, save for a walk in the rain in the early afternoon hours. The current state of upheaval, a time of transition and change for us, is making it challenging to concentrate on work until circumstances stabilise a little. On Thursday we stopped by the Monmouth for coffee beans and aslo tried the Neal’s Yard location of our favourite pizza place. It was not as good as the City location and way too busy. Next time we’ll stick to the one in City, or try the Marylebone location, which should be fine. We also stopped by our very favourite pub in Chelsea for a quick drink and it was as cosy and charming as ever. P shared a thought-provoking article today about the resurgence of homepages, an intriguing concept considering the prevalent belief that websites were becoming obsolete due to social media. Actually read somewhere that direct traffic to sites with strong audiences and reputations would be the future, so time will tell. It’s wisteria and lilac season in our neighbourhood, so the air is currently filled with the most wonderful scent.

This week’s links include a beautiful wood-filled house high in the trees, and a Rita Konig-decorated home in Manhattan; accessories made of silver and gold, and much, much more.
