Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 08.11.21
@antonovakseniya

I AM WRAPPED in quilted jackets and wearing boots exclusively now, just as the trees are half empty of their leaves. The fallen ones are strewn everywhere and can’t help but be drawn to pasta dishes and saving brioche bread recipes that I will never make. Darkness falling at 4:30pm takes getting used to, even if it happens every year, but we passed a house with a Christmas tree up already, all lit up with fairy lights, so that’s one way to deal with it. November sunsets are breathtaking, however, all irridescent pinks and golds and I’ve been able to catch a few these past few nights, now that it happens so early. I read in the paper that Britons have embraced online shopping after the pandemic more than other countries, and with all the packages being delivered to our neighbours, that looks to be true. I’m working on the next instalment of Talking Points to be published this week, and we’re working on adding a few new items to The Shop as well. Speaking of which, we had no idea just how much you would love our Gardenia Français No. 01 candle and are overwhelmed by all of your support. We only have limited stock left now, so if you’re hoping to pick up a few for holiday or hostess gifts (or for yourself), you’ll have to be quick about it, as they are selling out and some of you are clearly stocking up for cosy winter nights…

This week’s links include Belgian-inspired décor and tortellini at midnight; belted down jackets and padded winter boots, and much, much more.
