WHILE WORKING ON this week’s Links, we got very distracted this morning upon the discovery of this stunning getaway home on Martha’s Vineyard. This Oyster Pond summer home belongs to Sir Evelyn Rothschild and Lynn Forester de Rothschild. Still in our ceiling beam phase, we fell for its countryside charm immediately.

IT WAS A BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND here in the UK, so today feels like a Monday, although everything still seems a little quiet out there. In England and Wales, schools are open again and if we were still living in Spain, we'd see people spending time reacquainting with old friends on sidewalk cafés after being away for a month. In Paris it's called la rentrée and just about everywhere, this time of year means late-summer blues.
Carnage and The Martinez Brothers are well-established names in the producer world and recently, they decided to link up with some help from legendary producer Mike Dean, and singer Elderbrook.
This beautiful interior space, called Aurora Residence, is a collaboration between Koolasuchus (@koola.suchus), an Australia based interior architecture and design firm, and Photonic (@studio.photonic) an Australian based studio specialising in marketing 3D imagery, architectural concept and spatial design.
THESE DAYS I feel softly and almost imperceptibly, the transition between summertime and autumn. One moment, it feels like summer is endless and the next moment, the Parisian sky is covered with dark grey clouds and a chilly wind. Most Parisians are already back from holidays ...
Simone Bodmer-Turner is a California-born, Brooklyn-based ceramicist who creates ceramic sculptures and vessels using traditional methods such as hand-building using coils and slump molds exclusively―rather than a wheel―then slip casts these original forms. Turner draws on her time studying sculpture in Mexico and Japan, combining ancient techniques and technicality to render her modern forms.
WE'VE FEATURED Aerin Lauder's classic, old-world, European-infused style here at TIG before, so when House & Garden recently published a few photos of the East Hampton home that she inherited from her grandmother Estée Lauder, we had to share them with you ...
LAST WEEK I HAD my first hair salon appointment for the first time in over 6 months. The last time my hair was cut was in April, which I was forced to do myself, using a Youtube video for help. We ended up spending the day in the city, drinking really good takeaway coffee, visiting new neighbourhoods, discovering a lovely pub and finding a kimchi place for dinner ...
Just in time for the home stretch to Friday evening, Four Tet has shared a blissful house remix of “Is It True” by Tame Impala. Parker’s lyrics, infused with romantic ambivalence in the face of an uncertain future, are given guidance by Kieran Hebden’s synth constellations and ever-driving drum loops. The new song comes with a VHS-styled lyric video, which you can watch above.
One of the perks of staying in Paris while everybody else is on holiday (besides, of course, having the city for yourself and enjoying a more calm rhythm) is that many of the places you have a hard time getting a reservation at may finally have some available tables. That is why I wanted to share with you a beautiful place where you could have the most amazing and timeless culinary experience.
The Notting Hill home of creative consultant and designer Matilda Goad, at first glance, falls neatly into the English countryside aesthetic we’ve all fallen for lately. Upon closer examination, however, the space definitely has its own modern spin ...
P IS READING an article to me about how the pandemic has most likely changed NYC forever. People have moved away to second and third tier cities; favourite restaurants have closed for good, and buildings where 8,000 people once worked now have only 100 who are not working virtually and still come in everyday.
Raphaelle Standell-Preston certainly keeps busy. A couple months ago, she released an excellent new full-length with her band Braids, Shadow Offering, which was our Album Of The Week when it came out.
IT'S BEEN A WHILE since we featured wedding inspiration here at TIG, but with lockdowns and a worldwide pandemic, weddings (and nearly everything else) have been on hold for the past few months and we haven't felt that inspired about anything in a while, if truth be told ...
IT WAS ONLY A MATTER of time before we happened upon Julia Amory's Hamptons home in all its chintz-y splendour. Amory, her husband and their daughter split their time between New York City and the Hamptons, and it is this, their summer home, that we are in love with. Decidedly grandmillennial in style, it's a little new traditional with a healthy dose of grandma chic thrown in for good measure.
