March 20th officially marked the first day of spring (in the northern hemisphere). Hopefully you are seeing some renewed signs of life in your part of the world. Some songs for the weekend. – P

“Let It Happen” is Tame Impala’s 8-minute pop masterpiece, and possibly the best track you’ll hear this year. Look out for a new album coming sometime this year.

Glasgow native, C Duncan (aka Christopher Duncan), channels early Blur and the Beta band in his latest single “From There To Here”. Look out for a debut album later this year from the classically trained musician.

Indie rockers Surfer Blood’s new single “I Can’t Explain” from their upcoming third album release 1000 Palms.

London duo, Malpas, is the collaboration of songwriter Ali Forbes and producer Andy Savours. Savours has worked with the likes of the Horrors and Sigur Ros in the past and you can hear those subtle influences from his previous work coming through in their debut single, “Under Her Sails”.

California Girls is the latest nu-soul single from NoMBe’s (aka Noah McBeth) upcoming EP Mood Indigo and follows previous debut EP Change Of Hearts.
