Playlist 25.10.14 : Five Songs for the Weekend

This week’s Playlist — Enjoy. –P.

You may recognize this track from Baz Luhrmann’s commercial for Chanel No 5. The classically trained artist Lo-Fang does an interesting cover of “You’re The One That I Want” from the 1978 film, Grease.

Brooklyn-based experimental Indie electronica band, Yellerkin, are back with a new single “Tools”, a follow-up to their well received EP, Solar Laws, earlier this year.

Låpsley is the English teenager, newly signed to the prestigious XL Recordings label, who have also signed the likes of Adele and Vampire Weekend. “Falling Short” is the first single from her debut EP that will be released early in the New Year.

South London artist, Huntar, received praise for his new single “Bitter” from his upcoming EP of the same name, from BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe. Lowe debuted the song last week on his show.

Up-and-coming Irish artist, Talos, a.k.a. Eoin French, released the gentle piano-driven ballad “Bloom”, the follow up to his debut single, “Tethered Bones“, released to a warm reception earlier this year.
