ONE OF OUR VERY favourite things to do during the holidays is to spend an evening by the fire with a glass of cava, wrapping presents with Christmas music on and a mess of kraft paper, rolls of satin, velvet and grosgrain ribbon spread all over the living room floor.
The Afrobeat-infused disco project Ibibio Sound Machine, based in London and fronted by Nigerian native Eno Williams, impressed us with last year’s Eiyo EP and the single “Basquiat.”
STRANGE to be writing this message on the very last day of the year, as when many of these photos were taken, the month of December stretched out like a long and languid dream.
