The L.A.-based indie pop project NVDES, produced by Josh Ocean, is releasing its first ever 7-inch on B3SCI Records today. Accordingly, we’re premiering NVDES’s second single from the release, “The Other Side,” a juicy explosion of a track that has serious sexy summer dance party potential. I wanna keep the lights on and play with you all night, teases a breathless voice, which then shouts, All my best friends say you are/ The worst thing that happened to me. Hot.
Glass Animals’ members are taking the concept album to a new level. The U.K. indie-pop band’s forthcoming album, How To Be A Human Being, follows an overarching storyline, with chapters rolled out one by one as if part of a TV miniseries.
Kaskade has kicked off festival season with a bevy of new productions. His last offering was a new original titled “Jorts FTW” — a strange, albeit exciting festival piece designed with wild crowds in mind. The track was a step outside of his usual brand of emotive house music, yet well-received nonetheless by fans for its intensity.
Dev Hynes directed and edited the clip, which captures the singer/songwriter playing instruments in an empty apartment and an assortment of dancers showcasing their moves on rooftops. Hynes also appears in front of the flag of Sierra Leone, which is painted on a wall. The album borrows its name from Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone where Hynes' father was born.
