Fashion Editorial: Bella Hadid by Chris Colls for Vogue Mexico July 2018

El último Fetiche

AS WE HEAD into our long-awaited summery week here in London after a very sombre July, we look to Bella Hadid‘s 2018 fashion editorial, ‘El último Fetiche’, in Vogue Mexico’s July issue for beachy inspiration. The model has four covers for this issue: the first is a striking closeup in black and white; for the second cover, Hadid wears a sequinned jumpsuit paired with Bulgari earrings, her hair slicked back with smokey eyes. The third cover features the supermodel dressed in an all-white look; and the fourth and final cover features the Hadid photographed in black and white once more, topless on a beach. The accompanying editorial features the model in looks styled by Valentina Collado with images shot by Australian photographer Chris Colls. Isabella Khairiah Hadid was born on October 9, 1996, in Washington, D.C. Her father, Mohamed Hadid, is a Palestinian–Jordanian real estate developer, while her mother, Yolanda Hadid (née van den Herik), is a Dutch former model and reality TV star. Bella Hadid started her modelling career at the age of 16. She was signed to IMG Models in August 2014, and made her New York Fashion Week debut in September, walking for Desigual. Hadid quickly became a sought-after model, walking for numerous prestigious fashion houses such as Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy, and Versace. She gained particular prominence as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, making her debut in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2016. She has graced the covers of many international fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and more. In 2017, Hadid broke Doutzen Kroes’s record for the most Vogue September covers in one year by appearing in five international editions (China, Spain, Brazil, Australia and Arabia).
