Notes from the Weekend

& a Few Lovely Links

Messy sidewalk tables outside at Café de Florein Paris with empty coffee cups and saucers

WE JUST DEACTIVATED the TIG Twitter account a moment ago after thinking about it for awhile. It seemed like a good way to remove a bit of chaos from our lives while we figure out the best direction to go from here, and we might even get a little time back from our mornings. In other news, finally had a chance to watch the film, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and knowing nothing about it before but who the main stars were, was not at all expecting a story about Elizabeth Taylor with a strong southern accent and Paul Newman as a handsome drunk named Brick. P told me that Elizabeth Taylor is actually British. We’re also back on the recipe box delivery service, having exhausted all dinner ideas. Our first box resumes this Friday and it’s filled with five different meals that all sound delicious. These links come to you very late as all of our time and energy over these past two days has been spent on a new direction… Change is supposed to be good, and there’s no better time for it than very nearly at the end of the year, as the old one fades into the new.

This week’s links include the sleekest apartment in West Brunswick and wool-felt trousers for winter days; a recipe for Mushroom Galette with Garlic, Thyme, and Chevre, and much, much more.
