Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 15.03.21

HAVEN’T BEEN able to stop thinking about Sarah Everard since her disappearance the night of March 3rd. We have been consumed with the news for nearly two weeks now. There have been so many thoughts, so many feelings, a lot of sadness, and a lot of anger. I’ve been slowly trying to put things together into something (hopefully) coherent, but for now, perhaps it’s best to take some time to reflect. This weekend we had some wonderfully spring-like weather, lots of countryside walks, sunshine, gourmet pizza takeaway on Friday and a curry takeaway on Saturday. We picked up a Victoria Sponge cake from the patisserie, and talked a lot. And you might have seen on the TIG Stories that also made fluffy, delicious-smelling twice-whipped body butter and (less successful) cocoa butter lip balm. With the scented candles and other projects, really have been somewhat industrious during this year in lockdown.

This week’s links include the a striped sailor sweater and a wicker market tote; a recipe for an Avocado Pastry Quiche, the 10 best destinations for solo female travellers, and much, much more.
