Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

I ORDERED an exercise bike online last Thursday, even before the announcement on Saturday night of a second nationwide lockdown here in England. A few months into the last lockdown, we ended up ordering enough gym equipment to turn the spare room upstairs into a fitness studio. But after all the delicious bread and pasta and wine of the last lockdown, thought some cardio (along with our daily bit of lockdown exercise), might offset any comfort foods in our future. Turns out that we’re not the only ones with this idea, as exercise bikes everywhere are sold out and it took me ages to find a half decent one that was still available. I’m already preemptively missing drinks in pubs and browsing around shops, although we haven’t actually been doing any of these things for nearly a month now. A self-imposed lockdown for two hypochondriacs who have managed to be very lucky health-wise in our lives so far. It feels like everything is topsy-turvy in the world at the moment. Our one constant is each other, and that’s what matters most.

This week’s links include a beautiful Stockholm apartment in wood and warm tones; cashmere knitted bras for quarantine days; how to be indistractable and much, much more.
