. . . the plan was to [reluctantly] stow away the light & lovely dresses and pretty bed linens in favour of mohair, cashmere and italian wool; to unpack the heavy scottish tartan blanks for cosy evenings and to clear the closet of tiny shorts and flimsy tops for cable knit and tweed . . . but it has been sunny, sunny — and perhaps, after a stroll amidst the fallen leaves, a stop for fish & chips, and a latte or two, perhaps then . . .
