WHILE THE LOVE AFFAIR with pink has never ended, the love affair with the colour red has never even begun, not even for roses, and with the only exception being for red, red lips, and yet, in some cases, such as with tufted velvet sofas, [and especially when paired with warm pink walls], or atop a Saint Amour pastry or in the intertwining patterns of toile, there is something about red . . .

A FEW STOLEN MOMENTS here & there, of what has been happening around here lately . . . snakeskin pumps and marble staircases, quaint narrow laneways & romantic cobblestone streets, castles and antique china and white wicker baskets at favourite florists, gilded chairs and bedroom toile and roses, roses, roses, and it’s all in a day’s work . . .
Nearly nine months ago, in early September of last year, received an email from the lovely Shannon, Contributing Editor at Design*Sponge, asking if I might be interested in being featured in their Sneak Peeks column. As Design*Sponge is the very first blog in the universe had ever read, was, of course, thrilled. However, the timing was off, as things were in disarray and we were in the midst of moving and travelling, and so, had decided to put the thought off until things had settled a little. Nearly a year later [had been told that some Sneak Peeks have taken as long as two years to complete], and the day has finally arrived . . .
