ONCE READ AN ARTICLE about over-tourism in Thailand, and about how entire beaches had to be closed to give them time to recuperate due to the fact that their coral reefs were on the brink of dying. And a contributor to this problem is sunscreen, (along with above-average sea water temperatures caused by global warming and other factions)...
OUT OF ALL THE RECENT trends we've seen lately, from silk to (white) pantsuits to silk scarves, our favourite would have to be the chain belt. Appearing as early as 1922, the chain belt is most associated with the 1990's, when it was made popular by Chanel. And since the 90's themselves are having a moment, it's no surprise that this trend has made a resurgence. Whether made of medallions or coins, interlocking circles, pearls, flowers and even starfish, chain belts are a chic way to finish off any outfit, from jumpers to blue jeans and everything in between... (including swimsuits).
Ask a model what her beauty secret is and she’ll tell you it’s all about drinking water (and a handful of products that she will share--eventually--with you).

OFFICIALLY SUMMERTIME and from ruffled mules in summer's favourite colour to natural rattan cane serving trays for drinks en plein air; linen wrap mini dresses and drop earrings made of the most romantic South Sea pearls; broderie anglaise and layers of tulle in a pleated day skirt, here are a few things on our shopping list lately...
On my constant quest for a better complexion, I dream of the day when I will be able to get to work without using make up and not be asked by everyone if I am alright or having a bad day.
Little have I thought about styling and fashion these past few weeks, as my mind is wandering to sunny places, near the sea always, in the mood for watching sunsets, looking at the works of Picasso, Matisse, Duchamp and Miró.
We are constantly inundated with the must-have products and their promise of miraculous results. We can all agree that the beauty market is a never ending source of spending money. Some products will work for your type of skin, others will not make a difference.
IT'S THE SPRING BANK HOLIDAY here in Britain this coming weekend and the Memorial Day holiday in the US, and so we rounded up a few favourite things to shop for in anticipation of summertime: face oil and lip balm and the perfect little white dress and wicker bag; a gold sculpting bar that everyone seems to swear by at the moment, hoop earrings, a lace bralette, raffia mules and more...
WE HAVE BEEN highlighting the latest spring trends, from silk scarves to trouser suits, to the eternally chic trench coat, but one of the most unexpected ones for us, is the white city short. Far from common, these pleated and belted styles have an elegance not often associated with shorts and when paired with a white top, are the epitome of chic...
There are no rules on how to perfect shopping. As a stylist, I see women everyday trying and buying things―things that are trendy, things that don’t fit well, or the right colour. For this week, I just want to share with you a few essentials that every woman needs in her wardrobe. Every one of these pieces will elevate your look, no matter what your work environment looks like. These are the key pieces to put on your shopping list.
OF ALL THE CURRENT spring trends, the silk scarf is one of our favourites. Pretty and versatile, you can wear it in your hair or adorn the handle of a handbag or wicker tote; wear it around the neck or the wrist, or channel Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and wear as a head-covering with oversize shades. Whatever your preference, nothing is quite as chic as a silk scarf this season (or anytime, really).
SPRING'S CHICEST look by far is the trouser or pant suit, and our favourite iteration of the trend is in always-elegant all white. Whether in linen or satin, white strappy sandals or chunky trainers, it's a look that is crisp yet relaxed and can go from office to weekend effortlessly.
You can call me overly obsessed with the trouser suit style and I will agree with you. I think there is no other style that makes a women look more powerful and confident, attractive and stylish than while wearing a full suit. When I spend my days at work in a suit, I never feel more comfortable or confident. In fact, I often get asked by my clients if they can try the look as well and this inspired me to write a few words about this great style option.
IT'S TRENCH COAT season! And while my trusty Burberry is being freshened up at the dry cleaners, here is a little inspiration on how to style the eternally chic trench, somewhat a tradition around here at TIG in the springtime. Whether with white pants and a chignon or over a camel blazer or a silver sequined dress, it's fashion favourite staple and never goes out of style...
