THIS WEEKEND, we stopped by one of our favourite spots for a window seat in the sun, drinks and tuna tartare and patatas bravas — it was splendid to sit and watch the world go by while chatting about life and enjoying such delectable dishes (you simply must try this place if you’re ever in town).
TO SAY THAT IT WAS an eventful weekend would be a massive understatement, for it was a wild weekend of fire an fireworks, crowds and cava. Last night was the ending of the city’s famous Fallas festival, a literal festival of fire which began on the 15th of March, creating ephemeral street art museums of neighbourhoods in the city, as well as surrounding towns and villages.
THESE LAST WINTER DAYS seem to by flying by with chilly nights turning into extravagantly sunny days. Not long now, it will be warm here in the afternoons, for spring arrives earlier here than it has in other cities we’ve lived in.
