House & Garden recently featured the Georgian home of Jack Laver Brister, an antiques dealer and interior decorator living in Frome, Somerset. The 1780s home, with he shares with his partner Richard Nares, is the most deliciously maximalist with its blend of eighteenth and early nineteenth century furniture, prints, patterns, textures, colours, and art.
Beaverbrook Hotel is a late-nineteenth-century mansion set in the Surrey Hills, the quintessential British Country Estate. Decorator Susie Atkinson was tasked with designing something essentially British and romantic, "current but not trendy, comfortable and completely individual" (House & Garden). It is something she achieved brilliantly with tufted velvet and (Bowood) florals, dusky pink walls, cane chairs and Louise Bourgeois gallery walls...

I recently attended the 6th edition of the event, where Nadia Candet had once again asserted her curatorial taste on the Haussmannien apartment where the event is held with a selection of contemporary artists and designers, a wide variety of artwork, furniture and design objects that come together as a unified whole. This year’s theme is highlighting the Current Trends. The great mise en scene is not only an exhibition event but also a private sale event.

In school, one of my very best friends was a girl named Kathryn. We did everything together and I would spend weeks during the summer at her family's lake house, swimming, water skiing, sunbathing and reading. These are some of my favourite memories growing up.
