YES, IT’S TRUE—we rarely feature ultra-modern spaces here at TIG (especially brutalist ones), but there is something about this home in Orinda, California, that drew us in. Built by Faulkner Architects for a couple of environmental scientists and their two sons who relocated from the Oakland Hills to the warmer climate of Orinda, the goal was sustainability, including net-zero energy performance yearly.

35-year-old fashion designer Christian Vincent Siriano is perhaps best known for winning the fourth season of American design competition show Project Runway, becoming the series' youngest winner. Siriano studied in London under the direction of fashion luminaries Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen and launched his eponymous collection in 2008, showing each season following at New York Fashion Week.
Swedish model and former Victoria's Secret Angel, Elsa Hosk, normally shows up here in the pages of TIG in May, when she attends the Cannes Film Festival looking stunning on the red carpet. Today, it's her light-drenched SoHo loft that we're featuring, especially since the festival has been cancelled this year. RECENTLY ON INSTAGRAM, we posted an English countryside cottage (above) that captured the imaginations of thousands. Many of you asked if it was the cottage from the 2006 Nancy Meyers film, The Holiday. It is not (although there are similarities), as Rosehill Cottage from The Holiday sadly doesn't exist, its exterior built from scratch in an empty field on a hillside overlooking the town of Shere.
