DO YOU REMEMBER that feeling where you've been working toward something for so long, that once you've finally accomplished it, instead of feeling excited and celebratory, you're in a bit of a haze and utterly exhausted? Well that was how things were this past weekend, but (happily) not for long, for after there was time for what actually happened to sink in a little, we began feeling a little more relaxed than we have in ages and did end up having a really wonderful weekend. “Camp taste is a kind of love, love for human nature. It relishes, rather than judges, the little triumphs and awkward intensities of 'character.' Camp taste identifies with what it is enjoying. People who share this sensibility are not laughing at the thing they label as ‘a camp’ they're enjoying it. Camp is a tender feeling.”
