THERE HAS BEEN MUCH gold leafing around here lately—artwork and photo frames, cabinet hardware and even Christmas tree ornaments. And if you’re officially taking time off for the next week or so with a little extra time to spare, one last holiday DIY while you’re watching Love Actually: these pretty gold leaf heart champagne glasses, just in time to toast in the New Year . . .
. . . before dashing out the door with a latte and mile-long to-do list, a very favourite way to wear my hair {besides a chignon, of course!} is in soft, loose waves, a little tousled, a little sexy and a little ’70s — wonderful for the work-week, but especially so for the weekend, but whether it’s a downtown lunch meeting or a late sunday brunch, it’s always perfect for breezy april days . . .
WHILE WE LOVE our work here at TIG and wouldn’t trade what we do for anything, sometimes doing what you love can involve long hours, and at those times (especially on Friday or Saturday evenings) having a glass of wine or a cocktail after finishing up can make things feel a little more celebratory. And having a well-stocked and beautiful bar cart elevates things even more, making late nights at work a little more posh, and perhaps even enjoyable.
. . . on thursday night, took a little time to play around with the wonderful collection of nail varnishes scattered about, on powder room shelves and mirrored vanities, for a change, rather than stopping by the salon . . .
