IT IS THE HEIGHT OF SUMMER here, and all the days are draped in a wonderfully sultry heat. A time for roaming the winding city streets in billowy lilac-coloured chiffon dresses and espadrilles, drinking cava on leafy terraces and picnicking on strawberries and raspberries on the beach in front of the glittery Mediterranean. Here are a few favourite moments of life lately ...
“Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes. No reward is offered for they are gone forever” … describes perfectly the mood of the past days & weeks, with so many things happening, seemingly all at once. We have, happily, finally completed a few major projects and have already begun new ones and making travel plans and holiday plans.

Hello again and hope you’re well, and please do excuse the very long and unexplained absence. Six days ago, were suddenly and immediately called to Paris by terribly sad news, landing in the golden and early evening of last Friday to even sadder news, and worse still in the early hours of Tuesday morning, resulting in the extension of our stay here, to Sunday.
. . . while evenings in the city may be spent in heels and cocktail dresses, weekends away in the country are laid-back in a quilted Barbour and a pair of wellies, and after the apple orchards and pumpkin patches, the golden fields of wheat and rustling yellow leaves, a perfect afternoon for an autumn picnic for two . . .
