WE HAVE LONG been fans of white, for summertime, for wintertime, and of course, for autumn. This season, however, it seems as if everyone else has fallen for it as well, for on the streets of New York, London and Paris, there flashes of eggshell and ecru, glimpses of ivory and cream, flutters of pearl and beige.
The days are getting shorter and darker, and so to brighten up chilly autumn mornings, here are a few of our favourite October kitchen essentials, from the prettiest pink glass pitcher to always cheerful and elegant preserved topiaries, impossibly chic cane and lucite trays, golden flatware and gilded table lamps...
