These autumn days are flowing softly with the most cosy weather: crisp mornings, warm afternoons and chilly evenings. So far the days are inviting long walks in the park, listening to the crunches of leaves, « tarte tatin » moments in the afternoon, a glass of wine with friends for dinner after exhibitions.

Two days ago here in France was la rentrée. I say it every year—for me September is the New Year. After a month of leisure, dreaming and relaxing, it’s time to set new goals, begin new things, learn a new language (currently learning Portuguese), perfect timing to refresh the wardrobe.
Changed the breathtaking landscape from Ireland with the seaside in France, as am currently on a dreamy beach in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, two steps away from the turquoise water, but wanted to share a few more things about Ireland.
Walking in the sunset light the other day I suddenly realised how quiet and empty my busy neighbourhood has become. Like every year, most Parisians are leaving for their Summer Holidays and quite a melancholic ambiance has fallen over the city.

I mentioned before that August in Paris is quiet as the entire city empties for the Summer Holidays. Whether you’re on vacation as well, or staying at home, here is a list of my favourite late-summer must-haves, from leopard print one-pieces to white pant suits, shimmering body oil and navy suede mules to celebrate these last weeks of summer in style…
I will be visiting Ireland in August for the first time and am a little anxious about having to pack my rain boots and cashmere sweaters for the moody weather. It is a beautiful place, however, and has become known for its myriad of castles, many of them are abandoned or in ruins, while others were restored and worth a visit.
