Weekday Wanderlust | City Guide: Autumn Days & 3 Favourite Places in Paris for Coffee, Brunch & Pastries
Thursday 11th October, 2018
These autumn days are flowing softly with the most cosy weather: crisp mornings, warm afternoons and chilly evenings.
So far the days are inviting long walks in the park, listening to the crunches of leaves, « tarte tatin » moments in the afternoon, a glass of wine with friends for dinner after exhibitions.
On the streets, outfits are dominated by neutrals: beige, white, cream, taupe or oatmeal.
En terrasse, it’s either a chai latte, or red wine. At home, an extra blanket with a favorite book and McMorrow’s album playing.
It was hard to choose this week’s topic so I will share with you the three last places where I went these last few days and really enjoyed.
La Fontaine de Belleville has a beautiful traditional Parisian building but with a modern vibe interior. I had the most delicious brunch and the ambiance is so chic and refined. Not to miss: le pain perdu.
Inside mon parc préfère at the moment, Jardin du Palais Royal, Café Kitsuné is an ideal place for a takeaway chai latte or sur place in the outdoor garden tables.
It was a sunny day outside so it was a take away situation for my first time at Aki Café & Boulangerie but their delightful matcha patisserie is something I always go back for. Matcha cookies, matcha éclairs, matcha brioche. Loving all the matcha selections.

This is one of the many reasons we fell in love and moved to live in Buenos Aires. They have this same cafe culture, an afternoon frittered away with coffee and conversation ..Thanks for making me homesick lol
