SOMETIMES ON WEEKENDS (if there’s time) we like to watch random old films that we’ve never heard about, and this weekend, it we found a great one. It’s called Lost in America (1985) and is about a “husband and wife in their 30’s [who] decide to quit their jobs, live as free spirits and cruise America in a Winnebago.” It is actually as funny (hilarious, even) as the premise sounds, it’s charmingly well acted and even beautifully shot. It’s also strangely prescient, given today’s lifestyle trends (i.e. #vanlife). At work, we’ve added a brand new Spanish jewellery designer to The Shop, and are also working on adding a few new artists as well, and have some exciting new ideas that we’ll be launching for the new year.
This week’s links include Top 20 Places to Travel in 2019 and the Ingenious Story Behind Michelin Stars; gift ideas, a recipe for Pumpkin soup with Gruyere and fried sage, and much, much more.
