. . . hello, hello! and it feels as if it has been ages since we last spoke, but has really been only a few days, [and a little time to unplug is always a good thing], but the actual reason for the brief absence is the arrival of an out-of-town houseguest early last thursday morning, and so, there have been dinners and shops and a day in st. andrews, late-night conversations and [despite the decidedly non-springlike weather], traipses about town, sunday markets, and castles upon hilltops . . .
