Notes from the Weekend

P was telling me about a shocking true story involving an uber-wealthy couple who seemed to have it all. The husband was in real estate, while the wife was an influencer who ran a lifestyle brand and an Instagram account showcasing their lives between their homes in Manhattan, the Hamptons, and Miami. The account had amassed nearly 100,000 followers before it disappeared. Eventually, it all unraveled as their extravagant lifestyle was exposed to be that all was not as it seemed, tragically resulting in one of their deaths. Despite the couple’s significant online presence, I had never heard of them before this conversation. On a much brighter note, P’s brother is honeymooning in Italy at the moment, and coincidentally, an old friend of mine is traveling with his family in Scotland. We had hoped to meet up during his trip, but unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prevented it. Hopefully, we’ll have better luck coordinating next time.
