THIS PAST WEEKEND, the Spring Bank Holiday, we spent our time picnicking – at the cricket fields with a bottle of crisp Riesling, and along the Thames with a baguette and creamy Brie. Our feet dangled over the river’s edge, while graceful white swans glided past and curious mallards bobbed along in the sunshine. On Sunday afternoon, I had a much-needed salon appointment with Anna for a long-overdue cut. Afterwards, P and I cycled to Wimbledon, where we discovered the most charming hilltop pub with a little grassy knoll out front. People lingered on black canvas chairs, sipping their drinks and basking in the late-May sun. It’s that glorious time of year when everyone embraces the outdoors as much as possible, especially on a long weekend.
This week’s links include wildflower meadows and ‘bad tourists’; double denim and the greatest breakfasts in the world, things for the beach, and much, much more.
