THIS WEEKEND, P recreated the sandwich we used to get in Valencia, complete with the salsa verde. It was marvellous. He also made Fideuà on Sunday, so we had a rather Spanish weekend. It’s actually the last long weekend of the summer here and despite two days of overcast skies and rain, it did clear up today and was perfect. We went along the promenade by the river, and as it turns, everyone else had the same idea⏤the ice cream boats and waterfront cafés were filled with people enjoying the day off. Actually even saw a sign offering oat milk ice cream, which I’ll have to try next time. We also finally launched our brand new Substack this weekend! It will be a TIG supplement, where we publish long-form articles and thought pieces about technology and culture that can also be delivered to your inbox by monthly subscription. You can find the first instalment and subscribe here.
This week’s links include a stunning apartment in Stolkholm; and a century-old Pennsylvania barn house that was reassembled in the Dominican Republic; denim trench coats and cashmere turtlenecks for autumn days; the prettiest shade of lipstick, and much, much more.
