THIS MORNING, accidentally overwrote an entire website that had been working on for days, completely wiping out all of the content. I was distracted and had no business clicking around and hitting “okay” to big decisions while not fully focussed on what I was doing. It was a catastrophic loss that we’ve all been trying to fix for most of the day, with panicked support emails going unanswered and coffee being sipped with regret. Of course, these things happen from time to time, and it’s not the end of the world, but it is definitely a reminder to slow down a little and not rush in all the time. In fact, that might have been one of my New Year’s Resolutions once. Anyway, over it now, as I never dwell on mistakes and bad situations. Besides, we have a lot of other things to focus on at the moment that are much more pressing. Spring and major life changes, for instance. If you’re a TIG email subscriber, you’ll know that today we’re trying something new. You’ll still receive the same weekly updates on Friday, but we’ll also send extra bits of news as they come in to add more beautiful inspiration to add to your day.
This week’s links include quilted wrap coats and wooden clogs for spring days and a Cotswold cottage decorated in a modern country style; why the English country kitchen endures, and much, much more.
