WE RECENTLY discovered London-based interior design firm Salvesen Graham on Instagram, and immediately fell for their quintessentially British style. Founded by Mary Graham and Nicole Salvesen in 2013, the duo focuses on creating Future Heritage interiors with a sensitivity to historical and traditional interior schemes. Today, we’re looking at their work on Trewithen House, an 18-century Georgian mansion in Cornwall that was featured in the October 2021 issue of The World of Interiors. The home is owned by Sam and Kitty Galsworthy, who in 2007 co-founded the Sipsmith gin distillery. In the past, Trewithen House was open to the public, but the Galsworthys have decided to return it to a private residence. They enlisted Salvesen Graham to help with the renovations, and the result is the design firm’s signature playfulness and confidence with colour (pink and green and blue and bright yellow) and pattern (stripes and florals, checks and chintz and suzani). The result is cosy and layered and utterly charming.
