THE BEAUTIFUL sunshine streaming through the windows is at odds with this morning’s news of more shelling in Ukraine and a plane crash in China. Every night for the past week, I have been falling asleep to dreams of war. The nights are frenetic and uneasy, the mornings much more calm with lucid thoughts over coffee, at least until the news cycle begins again. I read the book I began last week about essentialism to escape for a while, and all weekend we’ve been going for long sun-drenched countryside walks along the river. P is making Alison Roman’s Spicy Marinated Feta recipe for lunch and this week, we’re taking a couple of days off from work to get away for a bit and reset. How are you? How have you been getting on these past few weeks?
This week’s links include a painterly London home and a nineties-inspired cropped knitted cardigan for spring days; a beautiful Paris home from the archives, a cabin in the Finnish woods and much, much more.
