IT HAS BEEN rumoured that virtual properties in the metaverse are going for over $120,000. As insane as it might sound to purchase property that you can’t actually inhabit, and as resistant as we are to an indoor make-belief life without sun, if it ever becomes more than it is, we would hope its current blocky, pixelated state would evolve to include stunning virtual properties such as this one, a “residence for the metaverse inspired by the coldest season”. Pastel pink and located in the most stunning winter landscape, this digitally rendered home was the collaborative dream of Andrés Reisinger and Alba dl Fuente. It includes a circular front entrance that also functions as an elevator, a cosy all-pink living room with a dramatic central fireplace, a sun-drenched master bedroom, mountain views, and more.
Andrés Reisinger, a director, animator, CG artist and founder of Reisinger Studio (which he describes as an “Unclassifiable Studio Bridging the Imagined and the Tangible), is originally from Argentina. He now creates projects such as this one in his studio in Barcelona, where he has garnered accolades such as the “Forbes 30 Under 30” list of artists creating and designing the future of the arts, as well as other awards. One of his recent works, Arcadia, a short film/NFT that he created with Portland-based musician/producer André Allen Anjos (aka RAC), and British poet Arch Hades, sold for $525,000 at the 21st Century Evening Sale at Christie’s in November 2021.
Alba dl Fuente (@albadlfuente_) is an architect and 3D artist based in Madrid who describes her work as the visualisation of the “essence of space through sensory design, gently touching the poetic depth of architectural environments through textures, materials and lights”.
