How hard do you struggle to fit into clothes that don’t represent you, or to fit into a style that you see on Social Media? In a world of hashtags and algorithms, finding a style that represents your true self has become more and more difficult.
On this start to summer sales, I wanted to leave you with a few ways to achieve an effortless style and choosing pieces of clothing that will work for you regardless of the season and that will always be a timeless selection in your wardrobe.
Shirts
The easiest piece to incorporate into your wardrobe and achieve effortless styling is a button-up shirt. I personally like menswear-inspired poplin shirts but silk ones can work too. You can style it under a jacket or with a pair of jeans, you can wear it with rolled up at the sleeves (breaking up the formality of the piece) or elevate the outfit with gold jewellery.
Dresses
If you are the kind of person who plans your outfit for the next day and you always have to consider the right balance between a professionally polished look and an off-duty one, for instance, the office and then dinner with friends afterwards, an outfit that goes from day-to-night is the perfect solution.
Bags
When it comes to accessorising your outfit, you have many options: either a pair of sunglasses or fun jewellery, belts and bags. For summer outfits, I would always pick a raffia bag, for work it’s indispensable to have a tote bag to fit as many things I need, and for dinner, the smallest size possible the better. Here are a few of my favourites right now.
