THIS WEEKEND I decided to try Gigi Hadid‘s recipe for Spicy Vodka Pasta that everyone has been raving about. It’s an occasion when I cook, for I don’t do it often and it normally never turns out (which is why I don’t do it often). P is the one who makes all the gourmet meals now that we live in the countryside and don’t have access to takeaway food delivery services. There is, however, a great wood-fired pizza truck that comes around every Friday night and there are eight pubs in the village. Anyway, back to the Spicy Vodka Pasta―it actually turned out beautifully, although very rich with its butter and heavy cream, but delicious and actually really easy. The weather has become sunny again so we’ve been spending as much time outside as possible, in between watching the Euros. On Monday I had my first hair salon appointment in over a year and came away with glossy mermaid waves. Everything seems beautiful in the summertime.
This week’s links include the best places to visit in Italy and linen trousers for summer days; a brutalist-inspired home on the French Riviera, and much, much more.
