IT SEEMS LIKE OVERNIGHT the mornings have begun to get crisper and now, in mid-August, autumn seems to be slowly, nearly imperceptibly, inching its way into the nights. It's a bittersweet time, for summer's end is always something to lament, but change is good, and we do love new beginnings every once in a while.

Like many of you have already noticed, almost everyone on Instagram is on holiday, laying in the sun and doing nothing. In case you are still at work, as well, here is something that made me dream for a while this week and took my mind off of work.
One of our very favourite things to do is find beautiful new handmade things for The Shop, and last month, our craftspeople in Spain surprised us with this new hand-woven basket bag that we adore.
DANIELA & I NOTICED lately, a flood of long seashell dresses, tops and mermaid swimsuits floating by our Instagram feeds―a welcome sight, of course, because who doesn't have mermaid dreams from time to time? The long slinky satin sheath dresses with their spaghetti straps are most likely by Bevza, the Ukrainian fashion label launched in 2007. All of the dresses appear to be sold out, although the Seashell Top is still available (for now). We've found a few other similar styles, including a fun fanned out bikini top―scroll through our inspiration board below for some serious seaside vibes...
WE ARE CURRENTLY having a slice of summer cherry pie with custard and talking about all of the things that have been happening in the world these past few days. And it’s a lot to take in. It’s difficult to remain hopeful and inspired, and to keep on creating and absorbing beautiful things when at times, the world seems so chaotic. And as she will be staying in the German city for nine days, she's also asked what to (lightly) pack. As for that, our advice would be to layer. Perhaps a light jacket such as trench, a pair of blue jeans, a pair of black trousers, a lightweight v-neck jumper, a dress for dinner to start...
They say a tan feels good and always gives one a boost of confidence. I can neither deny nor confirm this, as I am part of those people who never gets tan.
