Required: The Singlet (or Tank Top)

IT’S SUMMERTIME, which means bare arms and shoulders, sunshine on golden skin and the humble singlet (or tank top) is suddenly finding its way back into fashion, and not as an undershirt or with pyjamas pants for bed, but in a starring role worn all on its own on city streets everywhere. We’ve seen it before, many times, the sleeveless top paired with a well cut blazer or beneath shirts and cashmere jumpers, but we’ve never seen it worn as a fashion statement in itself. Wear it as a top with white or neutrals, pleated trousers or blue jeans, or dress it up with a black pinstriped skirt and kitten heels…
