IN THESE LAST DAYS before Christmas, the city sidewalks are filled with last-minute shoppers, merry with the flush of cava and happy to be jostled about by the elbows and shopping bags of grandmothers with arms filled with gifts, and couples hoping to surprise one another with their thoughtfulness. Everywhere, there seems to be a feeling of good cheer. We finished up at the office on Thursday and will be taking the next week or so off, and so, for one last time this year, are leaving you with paperwhites on the dining table and evergreen boughs intertwined in chandeliers, garlands on the fireplace mantle, and chic wreathes on shiny doors, and the last magical holiday inspiration for December 2018…
