Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 12.03.18

EARLY MONDAY MORNING, floods of web traffic found its way to our 2016 article on Hubert de Givenchy‘s country home, Château du Jonchet, in France. Baffled, a quick search revealed the terribly sad news that the French couturier and elegant master of devastating chic passed away in his sleep this past weekend at his home, Le Jonchet. Our piece on the designer’s final home would also be referenced by a New York Times article on the late designer. As Givenchy continues to be deeply mourned by the world, we have only just come to realise just how much he touched the lives of not just of those who were fortunate enough to know him, but also the so very many of those who only knew of him. There are references to his perfect manners and elegance, his kindness and charm, and his beauty, both inside and out. Fondest farewell, Hubert de Givenchy.

This week’s links include a restaurant in Seville and basket bags for spring, a recipe for pasta “risotto” with herbed roasted chickpeas, and much, much more.
