ONE OF THE VERY FAVOURITE childhood homes I grew up in had a powder room that was known as “the blue bathroom”, for its pale blue decor palette. But what I remember most about that room, was that it had double sinks that were each shaped like seashells. Those SEASHELL-shaped sinks were the most beautiful things to my 6-year-old eyes and made me feel like a mermaid every time I washed my hands or brushed my teeth. That powder room may also be the reason why I have always loved pretty powder rooms over other styles such as modern or minimal. There always has to be an element of ROMANCE, I think, to a powder room, whether marble or wicker or chandeliers or ornate mirrors. Here is a collection of a few current favourites …
