Chanel Takes Cuba
Chanel set Havana’s Paseo del Prado as the picturesque backdrop and inspiration for the fashion house’s Cruise 2016/17 show, becoming the first luxury house to hold a fashion show in the country. 700 guests and 45 models were flown in for the weekend, and there were fedora hats, dresses printed with vintage cars, and tees reading ‘Viva Coco Libre!’. “This is all about my vision of Cuba,” Lagerfeld told The Cut. “But of course, what do I know about Cuba? It is very childish, my idea.”
